This was a fun photoshoot session with Baby Brooklyn, what a great baby! This was super easy when a baby is this happy, and it makes my job a lot easier.
Here are some of my favorite stills from the session
Here is a peak of an animoto video that compiles the best photos from the session. I love these animoto videos as a way of presenting the best photos from a session. I like to provide them with every family, wedding and baby sessions

I had the pleasure of doing a great headshot session with Vickey Dhillon the other day. Vickey is another talented actor in the Calgary and is becoming quite successful. We did a mini 1 hour session a couple of months back and it was a little rushed. We also didn't have time for professional hair and makeup.
This time however, we had time to cover 5 different looks and change the hairstyles professionally. Hair and Makeup was provide by Artistry by Bobi, who is really a great hair and makeup artist in Calgary and is being used quite a bit by Jay Russell. Jay is making quite a buzz these...
I had the pleasure of doing a headshot session for Brandon, a talented actor in Calgary. Brandon is super talented and I hope he makes it big.
Here is a sample of my favorite headshots from the session. As with every headshot session, getting a good expression is important to show something interesting in the portrait so that talent agents and casting directors take notice.
A little while ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Kelly and Ryley's wedding in Okotoks. The day was a fabulous day and we had great weather. Here are a few of my favorite shots.

I love taking headshots of people, specifically actors and actresses. Recently, Ania Danylo, an acting coach based in Calgary selected me to photograph seven of her students for submission for an event in Toronto and just to update their portfolio.
A great headshot is not the same as a great portrait. The trick to headshots is getting expressions to look natural and that takes practice and some training. Peter Hurley who is one of the best headshots around taught me a lot about getting a great headshot and I'm glad I got to learn from the best and share that talent with the actors and actresses...
I recently shot a photoshoot with a couple of local Calgary DJs for some promotional material. The DJ's, Miss Hazard and Sam Iam, are multi-talented ladies and I ran the concept of an all gold photoshoot styled in retro 70's theme.
I agreed to do the photoshoot on an exchange basis, I would take some photos that the DJ's could use for promotional basis if they would sign a model release and I could take some stock photos of them. I hired a great hair and makeup artist Jessica Barabas for this shoot and while I was at it I arranged for a retro photoshoot of a model, Winnie, that contacted me through...
For my landscape photography people always ask me how I get the photos to look like they do. A lot of people ask if its photoshop. Its not, the most important thing anyone can do to improve their landscape photography is to find the right time to photograph their landscape. For me the right time is usually sunrise. For most locations I need to revisit them several times before I get a picture I am happy with.
The right time was hit home with me yesterday while photographing out in Kananaskis. I took the first picture to get ready for a shoot, the sun is starting to rise and the scene is lit really...
One of my specialties is panoramic photography. I have been holding out for a long time and still shooting film. I shoot panoramic film on both my 35mm Hasselblad Xpan as well as a Fuji GX-617 large format panoramic camera. I love the panoramic format.
I haven't found a good way to shoot a digital panoramic until recently. I have been playing around with a Nikon Tilt Shift 24mm lens and found that the stitching together of the shots that I get from this camera almost matches what I can do on film with the Xpan and 617.
I went out shooting today in Kananaskis country in the mountains and was shooting...
